So this is my house today.
Kaylie woke up for school and started right off saying that her stomach was hurting. This is pretty normal, so I tell her to eat some breakfast and she should feel better. Then she tells me she's going to throw up. I think that she must not really want to go to school today; that she must have a test or something. :) Well, I take her to school and then come home to get Emma ready for school, who also tells me her stomach hurts.
Emma leaves for the bus at 8:15.
The phone rings at 8:40. It was the Jr. High secretary saying that Kaylie had thrown up in her 1st period class. I hurry to the school to pick her up and she is in the chair in the office waiting, white as a ghost. She says to me, "I told you I was sick."
Good mom, I know!
Ten minutes after we get home, the phone rings again. It was the elementary school secretary calling this time saying that Emma is sick at school. I go and pick her up, and the second she saw me she burst into tears. (I think that's a mom/daughter thing...it still happens with my mom.)
So, we've had the pukes at our house today. I am happy to report they both held down their dinner, so far anyway. When I was tucking Emma into bed, she conveniently mentioned that her stomach still felt a "little" sick and that she might not be well enough to make it to school tomorrow. Such a smart girl!
